Intelligent people less likely to believe in God

I have to say, I wouldn’t normally link to the Telgraph, but this is just too good (and surprisingly on-the-ball for the Torygraph.) I mean, obviously, it doesn’t qualify as news per-se, but it’s good to see the concept is sinking in.

    that is good I would suspect it might fit into the “Correlation does not imply causation” bracket but still interesting.

      Oh, absolutely. If you actually read the article, you realise that the ‘study’ boiled down to some guy determining that there was a higher incidence of atheism in university professors than the general population, and concluding that therefore atheism == intelligence.

      Not exactly rigorous statistical modelling, but good for a chuckle. :)
