IIII is often found on watch or clock faces and I read somewhere about it from when the I, X and Vs were made of heavy metal and using IIII balanced better than IV................. or something like that.

But, I've never seen the 11 replaced with a single I before, always an XI.

So, I think this will guy is pretty damn hilarious...Because he has admitted several times to his screw up, but yet people really want to come on and leave yet ANOTHER comment telling him he's an epic failure? Think again dumbasses....like he said, the paget gets tons of hits, and i found it quite entertaining, even if the pic is correct.

And this guy....seriously?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! what the hell....can someone seriously be that stupid? guess so!

EPIC FAIL !
Trying to make fun of somthing and finally you discovert that you were ignorant.
I red the update, it makes it an even bigger FAIL!
You really though you were smarter than ROLEX??? HAHAHAHAHA!
Internet is all about disrespect and irony, so don’t blame the others for your mistake.

Congrats man !

First of all, "SwizzBeat", how can you call someone ignorant when you cannot spell at all...The word is discovered, not discovert. Read, not red. You seem like an illiterate asshole. He never said he was smarter than Rolex did he? And he didn't blame anyone for anything. He simply posted a photo that was funny. even if it is correct to use IIII instead of IV, Like Will pointed out, It is visually funny regardless! Move on with yourself and stop looking like such a dumbass! Thanks much!

I think if you read some of the later comments on the post (particularly my responses to Not The Messiah,) you'll get some further insight into my thoughts on this.

To (briefly) recap; I absolutely agree that the concept of 'me' being constrained by the physicality of my thought process is not a meaningful one. I highlighted the dichotomy between being predictable and being constrained in support of just that point, and to highlight what I see as a flaw with a very common argument against physical determinism; namely that the predictable nature of physical matter precludes it being the basis for a free consciousness.

In truth, I think this is an area where a deterministic view of reality and Christian (and probably others; I just limit myself to speaking about what I have even a passing familiarity with) religion are on very similar philosophical ground; both posit a system whereby the nature and process of human thought are theoretically knowable in their entirety to an outside agent. I'm still - after all these years - not sure what people are talking about when they talk about "Free Will," but it seems to me that the question of knowability is quite a separate one from the question of freedom, and furthermore, that any logically consistent meaning of the term would have to be applicable in either both of those world views, or neither of them.

I came from a very religious background, so I thought I could offer some insight to your question. The key to harmonizing determinism, omniscience and free will lies in the belief that God exists outside of time. In that respect, God can supposedly know what you are going to do, but you still have the freedom to choose whatever you will. Calling an action pre-determined is not technically correct since the concept of "pre" requires the construct of time, but in our experience, it is the best explanation Christians have for blending free will and determinism.

I would like to get some insight on your comment: "...being predictable is not the same thing as being constrained". Your illustration of your decision making process being logical doesn't have any bearing on whether or not you are constrained. And further, by accepting the concept of non-duality of thoughts, don't you make the concept of "you" being constrained non-meaningful or even the idea of a constraint non-meaningful. Who is "you"? Is there a "you" that exists that doesn't want to do what biochemistry is going to make you do?

Sadly, no, nothing. It seems to have got a bit less severe in more recent versions of FireFox, and I've re-jigged the site theme to use less shadows, and things seem to have got better over time. Better, though; not good.

I'm having the same issue. Have you found or work-a-round or anything that fixes the problem?
